The quality of food offered in the hostel mess of GCELT, Government College of Engineering and Leather Technology, is supposed to be average to low by various students. The food is purposeful, yet it won't meet the demands of many students who are brought up consuming a variety of and tasteful foods. It provides some basic meals, which are offered separately from hostel fees. Some students find the food provided is adequate, but others consider the quality and variety of food to be lacking. The hostel accommodation is based on shared rooms and has three students per room, although it is not necessary to have food if staying in the hostel, but it can be available for those living there.
