Considering the experiences of former students of the college, the placement opportunites in this college are very slim. Only a few companies visit this college and provide On-Campus Placement opportunities. These companies are also new in their respective fields and haven't added much to their namesake. Only a small number of students get jobs in these placements and are offered very low packages on an average of 2-2.5 LPA. So to conclude Placement is certainly a major issue in this college.

The Government College of Engineering and Research, Avasari, is considered a good option for pursuing a B.Tech degree, especially for students seeking a government-affiliated college with affordable fees. Affiliated with Savitribai Phule Pune University and approved by the AICTE, the college provides a structured engineering education at a fraction of the cost of private institutions. The infrastructure includes well-equipped laboratories, a library, and essential facilities that support a comprehensive learning environment, though it may lack the high-tech resources of top-tier private institutions. The faculty at Avasari is experienced and dedicated, although, like many government colleges, large class sizes may limit the individual attention students receive. In terms of placements, the college has a dedicated cell to assist students, and graduates have secured jobs in reputable companies. However, the placement packages are typically moderate compared to high-ranking engineering colleges. For students focused on affordability, solid academic resources, and a supportive network, Government College of Engineering and Research, Avasari, provides a valuable educational experience. It may not be the best choice for those looking for extensive research opportunities or the highest placement packages, but it offers a reliable and practical engineering education for many students.

Being a Government Institute, the fee is very low as compared to other private or autonomous institutions. The fee for the B.Tech courses is around INR 16,500/- per year. The fee is only around INR 25,000/- per year for a lateral entry candidate. So the entire course can be completed by paying less than INR 2 Lakhs. The hostel fee is also low and affordable.
