Government College of Engineering is considered good for the B.Tech courses. Better infrastructure, highly qualified and experienced faculty members, an updated curriculum concerning industries-the college is expected to provide good service with relatively lower fees than that in private colleges. The faculty members will be highly qualified, usually with a higher degree, and the placements are also quite good. Apart from this, government engineering colleges generally have good laboratory facilities for practical knowledge exposure. Fundamentally, Government College of Engineering would be one of the better choices in having a degree in B.Tech. as it is offering academic excellence along with career relevance.

{Source: MCA students & alumni}Worth Pursuing MCA at GECA? After analyzing the reviews and feedback from students and alumni, here's what stands out:Pros:* Good infrastructure (although some areas need renovation)* Active placement cell, resulting in multiple job offers* Relevant and rigorous curriculum prepares students for industry demands* Experienced and knowledgeable faculty members* High campus placement rate (around 70%)Cons:* Poor hostel facilities, including inconsistent water supply and subpar food* Limited availability of MCA textbooks in the library* Some issues with academic management and faculty accountabilityPlacement Insights:* Around 40-50% of MCA students receive job offers* Average salary package ranges from INR3-INR6 Lacs per annum* Companies like TCS, Infosys, Wipro, and Amazon recruit students regularly* Top roles offered include software developer and web developer positionsConsidering both positive and negative aspects, pursuing an MCA programme at GECA can be beneficial for those interested in computer applications and software development. While there may be some limitations in terms of infrastructure and management, the college's strong reputation for placements and its emphasis on providing students with industry-relevant skills might outweigh these drawbacks.Keep in mind that individual experiences may vary, and prospective students should carefully weigh their options before making an informed decision.
