The candidate should have completed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as core subjects. For general category students, a minimum of 50% marks in the qualifying examination, i.e., Class 12, is required. Relaxation is available for reserved categories, SC/ST, OBC. The admissions are given based on the merit list that is prepared by TNEA considering the marks secured by the candidate in the qualifying exam and no entrance examination is conducted.
