Initially, one obtains a student pilot license (SPL) from a government sponsored flying club in the country. The minimum eligibility sponsored for the SPL is matriculation examination and age should be above 16 years. An oral examination has to be taken in subjects related to aviation. Before being permitted to start flying, one must acquire a private pilot license (PPL). Flying includes overall 60 hours of flying with cross-country and solo flying. After medical clearance the candidate gets the SPL. Candidates are also required to pass the Pilot Aptitude Test. 2. Private pilot license (PPL).After getting the SPL the candidate accompanied by the flying instructor proceeds for initial flying training. This is a dual flight, where the instructor or trainer accompanies the learner to teach him the practical aspect of flying. Then the candidate gets his first independent flight normally after about 15 Hour of dual flying. This includes cross country flying. A total of 60 Hours of flying is needed.

You can proceed with doing BBA in aviation which is a 3-year undergraduate course which is divided into 6 semesters. Each year contains 2 semesters with each term having a minimum of 5 or more subjects.
After the completion of this course, you can proceed further towards your aim accordingly.
The average course fee for BBA in Aviation is Rs. 50,000 60,000 per year. Each semester should charge the student anywhere around 25,000 30,000 in most mid-level colleges.

Yes, you are eligible. GFTS has an average student intake of 20-25 per batch for both programs (CPL and PPL). The duration of CPL course is approximately 24 months which includes compulsory minimum flying requirement of 200 hours.Yes you are eligible. The eligibility criteria for CPL is as under.
Eligibility for CPL:-
1. Min Age 17 Yrs.
2. 10 + 2 Passed with Physics and Maths from recognized board or equivalent.
3. 200 hours flying training followed by passing practical and written exams.
4. Duration 24 months.
5. No maximum age but not advisable for candidates above 35 years due to cut off age for airline recruitment.
5. Medical fitness :- Should possess good physique /eye sight and should be medically fit as per the standards laid down in the Indian Aircraft Rules. Candidates are required to undergo Medical Examination with a DGCA approved Medical Practitioner / Medical Board and found fit. Fitness is subject to the assessment by the Director General of Civil Aviation New Delhi.
Applications for admission to CPL / PPL Course to be deposited in person at GFTS by the candidate and has to appear for a Written Test Interview Pilot aptitude test and Medical Class-II before the final admission.

The fees at the premier flying school, Indira Gandhi Rashtriya Uran Akademi, Rae Bareilly are above Rs 16 lakh for CPL+PPL. And after scholarships, it can be around 12 Lakh plus.
The following scholarships are available at and administered through IGRUA, in Rae Bareilly (Uttar Pradesh):
1. Indian Airlines scholarships
Two scholarships of Rs 4,00,000, each given on merit-cum-means basis per batch.
2. Air India scholarships
Two scholarships of Rs 4,00,000, each given on merit-cum-means basis per batch.
3. Rajiv Gandhi Foundation
For two women pilots on merit-cum-means to the extent of Rs 3,00,000 each per batch.
4. Scholarships for SC/ST candidates
Rs 2,00,000 on training fee.
Additional Rs 2,00,000 by IGRUA to three SC/ST candidates per batch by selection on merit cum means basis.
Some state governments award scholarships to SC/ST candidates for training at IGRUA. Eligible candidates may approach the respective State SC/ST Welfare Directorate for the same.
5. JRD Tata Memorial scholarships
For four students, of an amount not less than Rs 1,00,000 on merit-cum-means basis. The JRD Tata Trust offers up to Rs 10 lakhs per year to trainees as decided by its Board of Directors.

6. The Madras Flying Club offers a government scholarship as well.
Eligibility: Class X + 10+2; you must also have a Private Pilot License from the Madras Flying Club.
7. A government scholarship for pilot training is available for SC/ST candidates who have completed SSC/10+2.
