I am satisfied with this college.

Placements: Interns in Maharashtra earned between INR 10000 per month and INR 11,000 per month. After MBBS you could do medical officer ship, which pays INR. 70,000 per month in Maharashtra. You could also do PG if you got a good rank in NEET PG. You will get a decent amount of money.

Infrastructure is bad, but clinical exposure for a medical college is good.

Placements: There are 150 students in a batch, and now it has increased to 200. Internships are compulsory, and everyone gets them without any hassle. After internships, students can become medical officers as well, which is also not a very difficult thing to do. Internships are very difficult as faculty members make you run around a lot.

Absolutely satisfied with the college.

Placements: On average, 200 students per year get admission to our college. Packages will range based on recruitment, such as professors, assistant professors, medical officers, etc. All 200 students got internships at our college itself. Only students of this college are able to get internships at our college .

My college story, short and sweet .

Placements: Every student that passed the fourth year gets to do an internship at the same hospital as our college internship. The salary is 9-10k, and as a medical officer, we get 80-90k, and a senior doctor gets almost 2 lacs. The top role is to treat patients in OPD surgeries.

The biggest Government Medical College in Western Vidarbha.

Placements: Medical colleges don't have placements. If to be considered, then the students getting placed in PG courses can be considered. Every year 2/3 of seniors from the open category gets placed in MD. Medicine in top medical colleges of AIIMS Delhi, KEM. GMC Akola itself has 4 MDs.

Review of Government Medical College, Akola.

Placements: We had a batch of 100 students which is currently increased to 150 students. You actually get a good clinical/patient exposure here. On the whole, you learn many things, and you will also learn how to manage the situation in minimum possible stuff. As a government setup, different cases are observed here.

The college was good in terms of faculty but poor in terms of facilities and placements.

Placements: PLacements are not good here. The lowest salary is Rs 3,00,000 per annum. And most of the students which are rich, build their personal hospitals for them, Hence, I am not satisfied with this college.
