Diploma in Instrumentation Engineering - Batch of 2020
Offered by Government Polytechnic, Mumbai
3.2

Our college provides strict studies with lots of practical labs of various departments.
Placements: Maintenance engineer is the top role offered. There were almost 60 students in the first shift batch. The highest salary offered is Rs. 10,000 per month, the average salary offered is Rs. 7,000 per month, and the lowest salary offered is Rs. 3,000 per month. To get internships, you should get 75% and above and should clear all subjects. You should have some smart IQ to qualify for the interview with externals.
Infrastructure: We got all the good facilities including our department staff members too. Our department is located in the newest building on the second floor above the MSBTE office. We also got the library and computer labs with the proper internet. The hostel life is as usual as seen from non-hosteller, which is pretty good and strictly followed.
Faculty: Teachers strictly followed the rules and instructions regarding the acknowledgement. All teachers are well-qualified and very helpful in studies and projects too. Exams are very strict as the externals come to examine students in the exam, and strict rules and regulations are followed by teachers and students.
Other: Events and fests are the disadvantages in this college, and for freshers, there is no fest at all. The campus is good and playable, and it is surrounded by grass.

I am quite satisfied as the placements are good and there is good discipline in the college
Placements: They only take extremely high ranked students from the campus, therefore average students suffer a bit. They only take a few students in campus interviews.
They offer around Rs. 10000- Rs. 20000. The companies that visited are BPCL, ONGC, Siemens, etc. The placement of the college is about average, not the best at all. Getting admission here is also difficult as the merit list is high. The college is overall good.
Infrastructure: There is no Wi-Fi in the college for students to use. Hostel facilities are about average. The classrooms are normal, non A/C. The benches are good. Medical facilities are good. Sports and games are excellent. There is appreciation for your skills in sports. Volleyball, football, kabaddi, table tennis, cricket, chess, carrom, etc. facilities are available. The labs have equipment but not that good. The machines used occasionally work.
Faculty: The faculty has poor communication skills. They lack English speaking ability but they have good knowledge and can make you understand fully in local languages like Hindi or Marathi. They use projectors slides to teach.

I was very satisfied because of placements, faculty, teaching staff, and course fees.
Placements: Up to 50% of students got placements in our college. The minimum salary offered was Rs.30000 per month. Nearly 90% of students got internships and work as instrumentation engineers.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college was not so good but better facilities were available. The college provided a canteen where students can have their lunch and tea break. There was also an auditorium where events like dance, singing, and annual functions were conducted. The hostel was available too.
Faculty: There were well-experienced staff members and faculty members in our college. The curriculum, portion, and lessons to be taught to the students were done on time. Examinations such as unit tests and semesters are conducted every semester as the new courses were registered by the students.
Other: Annual events and sports events were conducted during academics and other activities too.
