Hello Piyush BMJ, it's very nice to hear from you that you are interested in knowing the cut off for 2021 in the course that you are interested. I think that what you actually mean is the closing percentage and not the cutoff percentage. Since this Government polytechnic at Pune does not prescribed any cut off below which students cannot apply. This is one of the best polytechnics in whole of Maharashtra and as a result the top notch students get attracted to this college. In this year about 170 students have scored 100% marks and therefore you can imagine the closing ranks of this year would be much higher than those of the previous years. This polytechnic boasts of closing percentage above 90% in many streams and 95% in the steams towards which students are attracted in large numbers. You can get the detail information from the website of this college. To help you I am attaching a link that will also give you much more information about this polytechnic.

Hello,
Om Valmik Mapari, government owned polytechnic at Pune is famous for attracting students with high percentage obtained in class 10th examination. This results students only with high percentage becoming successful in getting admission in this place. In spite of this there is no indication that Government polytechnic at Pune has prescribed in sort of cutoff for the courses. This may be so because of perhaps the government policy of not restricting any student from applying irrespective of the fact of who gets admission or not. Directorate of technical education of the state of Maharashtra has announced online registration for diploma courses and you must do so by giving proper choices of possible institutes where you wish to study. To help you I am attaching a link that will give you information about this Institute.

Hello Kanchan Jayram Bhor, Government polytechnic in Pune which admits students for diploma in Engineering in different branches is of course favourite among students. As a result of which students having high percentage apply in this institute in large numbers. This results in students who have less marks from not getting admission in this Institute. In spite of this situation there is no indication that this Institute as prescribe any cut off what so ever for any courses for students to apply. What this means is that any student who has met the minimum prescribed eligibility criteria can apply for seeking admission. To help you I am attaching a link that will give you all the required information about different aspects of this Government polytechnic in Pune.

Hello Mohammad Muazzam, I can understand your angst and the anxiety of knowing about the cut-off information for seeking admission or applying for admission to this polytechnic in Pune. But I am afraid that there is no official information from either this polytechnic or from the direct rate of technical education of the Government of Maharashtra that they have prescribed any such cut-off for students to apply for admission. Normally speaking in any government institute there will be no cut-off prescribed. This is so perhaps because of the egalitarian nature of the Government and its institutions. Be that as it may, I would like to advise you that the admissions in this polytechnic close at a very high percentage of 10th class. This is so because firstly it's a government polytechnic and hence the fees are very very low secondly, the academic excellence of this Institute is known throughout the state and as a result, many students vie for admission to this Institute. This intern causes the closing of admissions at a reasonably higher percentage as compared with other polytechnics.

Hello Vinod Nagpure, now that the results of the 10th have been announced by the Maharashtra state education board and registration for diploma courses is in full swing, I can understand and appreciate the angst and the anxiety in the minds of all those seeking admission. The first thing that comes to mind is whether I will get admission to my most fav college. Let me assure you that Govt Polytechnic Pune has not declared any cutoff below which students are debarred from applying. This is clear from the website of this institution. However, this only means that if a student is fulfilling the criterion of admission then he/she can seek it. However, getting actual admission is another cup of tea. It depends wholly on the number of students and their marks. If one is behind these students then it's hard luck.

Hello Kartik Ghogale, admissions to various diploma courses across different institutions in the state of Maharashtra are centrally coordinated by the directorate of technical education of Maharashtra. Presently they have announced students who are eligible to register online for seeking admission to diploma courses of various branches in all the colleges. This itself is a clear indication that there are no cut off prescribed for admission. The government polytechnic at Pune also admits students based on this Central counselling and has not prescribed any sort of cutoffs for students to make applications for admission. At the same time, I must point out that this polytechnic has a very good reputation academically as well as in the placements area and hence a large number of students seek admission in this Institute. This results in the closing of admission at a very high percentage of marks obtained in the 10th standard. It is therefore advised that if you are in the top percentile in the 10th then you have got a good chance of admission to this Institute.

Hello! Vandana Jadhav, admissions to diploma courses in various polytechnics across whole of Maharashtra is done centrally by directorate of technical education of the state of Maharashtra. Registration has already started and students are expected registered themselves and give the choices of the institutions where they want to study. Let me assure you that Government polytechnic at Pune has not prescribed any cut off for any branch for admission. Any student who is able to register on the website can give choice of this Institute and any branch which this Institute offers. However, whether admission is obtained or not, it depends entirely on the rush of students for this branch, in this particular polytechnic. Government polytechnic at Pune is one of the premier most institutions for diploma studies and as a result generally the closing ranks are quite high. More so for the branch of computer Engineering. My estimate is that if a student is in top percentile, then the chances are quite bright.

Hello Ramsingh Vasave, what you are asking about is of a government polytechnic. Normally speaking in govt polytechnics, no cutoff is prescribed. This is so perhaps since government wants to sustain its image in mind of public as a benevolent organization and allows anyone to apply. The admissions depend upon marks scored in 10th. Particularly, this government polytechnic in Pune, is amongst the top ranked institute. Hence, admissions will close at much higher percentage. It actually does mean cutoff, it means admission stopped since all seats filled up.
