Read that first if you are aiming for GTBIT college.
Placements: For placements, you need at least more than 80% throughout your B.Tech. If you want to get into this college, for the general category, you should have at least under a 310,000 rank for the ECE branch. Top companies for our course are Airtel. The highest package was around 14 LPA CTC, the lowest was around 4 LPA CTC, and the average package is 4.5 LPA CTC. Almost 25% of students were placed in Airtel, Lutron, and Hiremi.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is not so good; they have allocated only 2 buildings for B.Tech students. If you ask me about the area of the college, it is around 3 acres. There is no playground at Guru Teg Bahadur Institute of Technology.
Faculty: I don't like the faculty at GTBIT. I mean, they are not rude, but they don't have enough knowledge of the real world or the practical aspects. Specifically, if I talk about the HOD of the ECE department, they do not even focus on the placement of their own department. There are two exams arranged by the university per semester: one is the mid-semester exam, and the other is the end-semester exam. You can easily pass these exams by studying Aakash books.
Other: I chose this course and college because it was the best option I was getting at my rank, which is around 290,000. ECE is the department where you can choose, at the placement time, whether you want to sit for non-teaching companies or teaching positions as well. Things I want to improve in my course include practical knowledge of the real world, such as teaching us what the industry wants from us, and improving placements in the ECE department. There is no space for any events or fests, so you have to rely on the main campus and some other engineering college fests.

My detailed review of GTBIT as a 3rd year ECE student.
Placements: Eligibility for campus placements starts from seventh semester for all students, including ECE students. Renowned companies like ZS, Accenture, Infosys, TCS, Amazon, and Paytm actively participate, offering diverse opportunities. While CS and IT students often have more options, proactive efforts from ECE students have led success; last year an ECE student secured the highest package of 48lpa. Many students, ECE included explore off campus opportunities. The highest package is 48 LPA, the average is 6LPA, and diverse profile are offered. The placement cell's effort reflect in 60% students securing placements, showing GTBIT's commitment to many career opportunities.
Infrastructure: GTBIT have great facilities, including well-equipped labs, Wi-Fi enabled classrooms, and an extensive library. Recent renovation have improved the overall aesthetic and comfort, featuring stylish common rooms and fresh paint. The auditorium is not very big, and that's a big issue. Hostel facilities are not available at our campus, but private accommodation is available nearby. Ongoing efforts by college to enhance the canteens food variety and taste contribute to a better dining experience.
Faculty: As a lateral entry student at GTBIT, I underwent the LEET (Lateral Entry Entrance Test) conducted by GGSIPU. After the computer based exam, cut-off ranks were released, determining college allotments based on the student preference and ranks through 3+1 grounds (3 normal grounds and one bonus round). Eligibility requires a Diploma, I done my Diploma in ECE from GTBPI college. The application process involves submitting form and paying 40000 rupees upfront to GGSIPU that will be minus from the college feels. The faculty to student ratio is satisfactory, with well qualified teachers, particularly female instructors with industry experience. Male teachers sometimes misbehave with students. We have one mid term exam and one end term final exams at different IPU centers. GTBIT definitely provides great learning experiences.

Placements need improvement.
Placements: Around 80% of the students get placements, while the remaining still look for jobs or opt for higher studies. The highest package offered by the college is 13 LPA, the lowest package offered is 4 LPA, and the average package is 6 LPA. Top recruiting companies include TCS, Wipro, HCL, Udemy, etc.
Infrastructure: The facilities, such as classrooms, libraries, and computer labs, are okay. Medical facilities are not available, and the hostels need renovation. Sports such as cricket, football, badminton, volleyball, etc., are available to play. Good-quality food is offered in the mess.
Faculty: Some teachers are knowledgeable, experienced, and helpful, while others are not and can be rude. The course curriculum is relevant and prepares us for the industry. Exams are not too hard, and we need 40% to pass in a semester and get promoted.

Good facilities and professors.
Placements: Placements are pretty average in the college. The highest package offered by the college is 15 LPA, and the lowest package offered is 4 LPA, with an average package of 6 LPA. The top recruiting companies include TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Upgrade, Udemy, etc.
Infrastructure: The facilities offered by the college include digital classrooms, libraries, Wi-Fi, lifts, computer labs, etc. The hostels require a bit of renovation, but the food offered in the mess and canteen is of good quality. Sports such as cricket, football, basketball, badminton, etc., are playable.
Faculty: The professors are well-qualified, knowledgeable, and helpful. The teaching quality of the teachers is very good. The course curriculum is relevant and well-designed, helping us to get good opportunities to progress in our career. We need a minimum of 40% to pass.

Decent college but lack of job opportunities for non-CS/IT students.
Placements: The placement opportunities are only decent in our college, and more so in the case of CS and IT students. They tend to have greater prospects in terms of job opportunities. It's not to say that students from other branches don't get placed, but the number of opportunities is comparatively fewer. Although some of the students from my batch have already been placed, the average CTC offered to most of them was around 4 to 6 lakhs per annum in companies like Softage and Compro for teaching roles. ZS Associates was one of the major companies to visit our campus last year, which provided students with a package of around 15 lakhs per year, if I remember correctly. So, overall, I would say that our college could focus on expanding job opportunities for non-CS/IT students and ensuring equal access to promising career prospects across all branches of study.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college may not be extravagant, but it can be described as decent with all the basic amenities that are needed for academic purposes. The classrooms and labs are pretty spacious and well-maintained, with all the necessary equipment. Our college also has a well-equipped library conducive to study and research.
Faculty: The teachers are quite experienced and well versed in their subjects. Students can easily approach them for any help they need, and the faculty is also kind enough to guide the students through any challenges they may face. As far as the course curriculum is concerned, it is quite comprehensive, striking a balance between theoretical and practical applications. The midterms occur after 2 months of going into the semester, and the difficulty level of the exam is also quite moderate.
Other: I would like to mention one thing about our college that I find really commendable, and that is their leniency towards late fee submissions. Unlike some other colleges, they do not pressure the students with unwarranted notices regarding payment of dues, which is a good thing. However, I would really want them to create a more vibrant and wholesome campus life for the students while also focusing on creating more job opportunities for everyone across all branches of study.

Placements in GTBIT are up to the mark in the ECE. You just need to focus on building skills and trying to take part in various skill development activities. Apart from those companies more from IT background come in the college. So plan accordingly.
