It's a good college with a lot of clubs or societies exposure as well as a good campus.
Placements: There were 72 placed out of 118 in electrical, 47 in ECE out of 180, and 90+ in mechanical out of 120. The placement varies every year. It was the placement record of the 2024 batch. CSE placement is moderate; chemical placement is good; Haldia is famous for this and this post too.
Infrastructure: Hostel quality is average. Wi-Fi is available, and a library is available outside. Playing place like badminton ground is present inside of Outside there is a ground, P2 ground, which is a well-maintained ground that has matches every 4 months. And a good place to chill too.
Faculty: Average rating for the faculty. B.Tech students have to study on their own. But you do have a big library. You can study at your own pace. And you have Wi-Fi at the library too. Along with it, there are various clubs that you can join for the exposure.
Other: I am in electrical. Here I get a lot of exposure. Lab facilities are good, and teachers are cooperative.

Haldia Institute of Technology- review of the college .
Placements: 99% students placed in my course, the highest package is 80 Lacs per annum, the lowest package is 1.8 lacs; the average package is 3.5 Lacs per annum; the top recruiting companies are Infosys, Wipro, Capgemini, Mindtree, etc. 80 percent of students got internships from IT companies.
Infrastructure: The college infrastructure is good, excellent, and well designed, and very good meals are provided here. All departments have different labs: a computer lab, a machine lab, and a chemistry lab; all the labs and the whole college are Wi-Fi; classrooms have digital blackboards; and the food quality is good.
Faculty: The teachers are very helpful; they always help students, and they are excellently qualified and knowledgeable. The course curriculum is very relevant; it makes the students ready for industry. The difficulties of semester exams are moderate, and the pass percentage is 90%.
Other: I chose a B.Tech. in electrical engineering. The course is very good. The best things about the course are power systems, electrical machines, control systems, digital control systems, and power electronics. My wish is that the industry-related course will be very practically shown. Many events occur on campus, including a tech fest, an annual cultural program, and an annual sports event.

Absolutely satisfied with my experience in this college.
Placements: I am from the batch of 2020-2024 Electrical Engineering. Around 80 percent of students were placed from my batch and around 60 percent were placed from my college. The highest package was 33 lakhs, the lowest was 3 lakhs and the average package was 4 lakhs. 50 percent of students got internships. GET roles were the top roles offered.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure of Haldia Institute of Technology is above average; all the labs are there for us, wifi is available in the library and all hostels are equipped with wifi. Hostels were good there but the quality of foods is not that good, and sports and games were great there.
Faculty: Faculty are average in my college, Haldia Institute of Technology. Some of them care for you and help you to succeed but some don't care that much. Teachers were qualified and knowledgeable. Yes, course curriculum is relevant; clearing semester exams was not that difficult.
Other: I chose electrical engineering because I was attracted to electronics items from the beginning. The best thing about my course is I am able to perform theory in practicals. For events, the college organises a festival every year and invites popular singers around the country. Campus is surrounded by locals there. Every year, college organises annual sports also.

Overall, HIT is 4.2/5. You can learn everything here.
Placements: Last year, our college placement record was 95%. The average is 6 LPA. The highest package is 28 LPA, and the lowest is 2.4 LPA. Top recruiting companies are Haldia Petrochemical, Flipkart, Infosys, BOAT, etc. Roles offered by companies are Junior Assistant Engineers, coders, etc.
Infrastructure: The courses are quite good. All the teachers and staff are very useful and helpful. Wi-Fi facility is available, and the labs are very good. Classrooms are good as well. Our HIT Library is the second-largest library in West Bengal. All the books are available there. The hostel is quiet good. Facilities are good and food is also good. You can eat anything here, including vegetarian and non-vegetarian options. And the staff maintain good hygiene.
Faculty: All the teachers are very good and well qualified. Teachers help us a lot. They teach the course curriculum very well. The semester exams are not very tough; they are medium-level. If you study, then it is okay to get a very good CGPA. All the teachers will give you a sample paper for practice.
Other: I've liked electricity since my childhood; that's why I chose EE. The best thing about my course is that it is a core group and we can do coding in it and get a high package. They can organize the fest better. Fest and event are held every second week.
