HIMT college provides good quality education and training. The infrastructure of the college is great. The faculty here is good and highly qualified. The college also provides decent placement opportunities to its students. In 2023, 6 recruiter companies visited the college campus and hires 55 students. In 2022, total 10 companies visited the campus and hired over 100 students with a median package of aroung INR 4.5 LPA.

Candidates who want to take admission in HIMT College (Hindustan Institute of Maritime Training) need to appear for the IMU-CET entrance exam which is conducted at the university level. There is no fixed cut off for IMU-CET exam. Only after the results of IMU-CET entrance exam are out and can be checked on the college website. But for taking admission in HIMT College, the candidate needs to clear psychometric test, medical xxamination which is followed by the Interview and pre-sea training. After clearing all these stages, the candidate can then take admission in HIMT college.

Thus, Hindustan Institute of Maritime Training, HIMT uses your class 12 percentage to determine your eligibility in their B Tech program. 60% in class 12th is the minimum cutoff required for admission to B Tech at HIMT.
