Whether you can enroll into Heritage Institute of Technology (HIT) with 70% in 12th grade depends on numerous factors: Cutoffs differ widely amongst B.Tech degrees at HIT. Some, such as Computer Science and Engineering (CSE), may have significantly higher cutoffs than others. Admission Quota: Depending on the program, you must consider the admission quota you are applying for. Each quota (WBJEE, JEE Main, and Management) has its unique cut-off rank.Category: Your category (General, OBC, SC, ST, PwD) also has an impact. Cutoffs are typically lower in reserved categories. Exam scores: While class 12th percentage may be part of the eligibility requirement for various programs at HIT, your actual admission is determined by your score in WBJEE or JEE Main, depending on the quota you select. As a result, with only 70% in class 12th, it's tough to predict whether you'll be accepted into HIT. However, it is not impossible. Here is what you can do.Identify your preferred B.Tech program:Consider your category and preferred admission quota when researching the cutoff trends for the program.Check the prior year's cutoffs:The official HIT website provides thorough information regarding previous cutoff ranks for many programs and categories.Determine whether your 70% in class 12th corresponds to a probable rank inside the previous cutoff range. Analyze your exam scores. If you have taken WBJEE or JEE Main, your score is important.Check if your score corresponds to the projected ranking required for your selected programme and quota based on previous patterns.Consider other alternatives: Even if you fall short of your initial choice, HIT has numerous B.Tech programs with potentially lower cutoffs. Investigate alternatives that are consistent with your hobbies and academic strengths.Remember that admittance to HIT is tough, and a 70% in 12th grade alone may not be enough. However, combining strong exam scores with clever application choices can improve your chances. For a more accurate assessment, I propose that you visit the official HIT website and look into individual program cutoffs and admission standards based on your preferred quota and category.
