All students who has passeed IMUCET exam and scored 60% aggregate in Class 12 are eligible for admission in B Sc. at HIMT College (Hindustan Institute of Maritime Training) and age limit at the time of coarse commencement should be 17- 25 years.

Step 1: For registration, candidates need to submit the entrance exam score for the respective test they have appeared for admission to different courses. The entrance exam scorecards have to be submitted at the time of registration.

Step 2: Candidates can fill out the HIMT Group of Institutions application form 2024 in both online & offline modes. Candidates can either fill out the form on the official website or submit the hard copy by visiting the campus.

Step 3: The selection process of HIMT Group of Institutions includes an examination of candidates based on their aspirations, and experiences. The admission panel will also evaluate the candidates based on their academic accomplishments during the interview stages of the selection process.

Step 4: Candidates shortlisted as per the course eligibility & selection rounds will have to submit the prescribed admission fee of INR 1,000. Following this, candidates are required to go through the document verification and are intimated about the date of commencement of the classes.

The highest CTC package offered at HIMT College was approximately INR 13 lpa. The placement drive for 2023 batch has been concluded at HIMT College, Chennai. Total 6 recruiter companies offered job opportunities to the students at HIMT. Total 55 students got placed this year.  IMU-CET (Indian Maritime University Common Entrance Test) entrance exam scores are accepted by HIMT College (Hindustan Institute of Maritime Training) for admission. It is a national-level common entrance test for admission to various courses offered at IMU campuses conducted by Indian Maritime University. The candidates who clear the entrance exam are called for their psychometric test, medical examination followed by panel interview and pre-sea training. Only after clearing all these stages, the candidate is eligible to take admission in HIMT college.

The selection process for B.Tech programs can vary among different colleges and universities with some elements like Educational Qualification, Entrance Examination, Merit list, Interviews, Reservation Quotas etc.

Normally, we can get admission in private B.Tech colleges after passing class 12th but for getting admission in good/reputed University or colleges we have to give an exam called JEE Mains (Joint Entance Exam). According to the marks scored in this exam, we get placement in B.Tech colleges.
