Hidden educational heaven in Coimbatore.
Placements: All our alumni's are either officers or got selected in the state or central service exams. The placements are also good here. Last year, the annual package was 25 Lacs per year. The cutoff to get admission here is quite high as it is a top university.
Infrastructure: The Wi-Fi here is good. The university holds 2nd rank across India. The infrastructure is no joke. The food here is cheap and best. It literally costs Rs.79 per head per meal. The classrooms are mostly air conditioned and we have our classes in a greenish environment.
Faculty: We have 8 semesters. PED course and yoga are mandatory. They update the curriculum every 3 year so no issue regarding that. Each teaching faculty is highly qualified. They are either doctorates or Ph.D. 80 percent attendance is mandatory for the course. Yes, you heard it right!
Other: There is a scholarship and educational cell available in our campus. So in case of queries you can reach out to them.

I am satisfied with the college. It has a good environment to explore and many opportunities.
Placements: In our class, around 80% of the students got placed in different companies. The highest salary offered is Rs. 35,000 per month, the lowest salary offered is Rs. 15,000 per month and the average salary offered is Rs. 22,000 per month. In HDFC, students are offered with the role of a field officer. Top recruiting companies of our college are Kovai Pazhamudir Nilayam, Black Tulip and horticulture. Top roles offered to the students are officer, horticulturist, marketing and agribusiness. In our course, the highest salary package offered was 5.5 LPA, the lowest salary package offered was 1.8 LPA and the average salary package offered was 2.5 LPA. Around 60% of the students got an internship in Sree Murugappa Group.
Infrastructure: Everything is available in our department, like Wi-Fi facility, labs, soil test lab, microbiology, biotechnology, food safety and quality control. Classrooms have a projector for visual understanding. The library contains many category books, and many research papers are also available. The hostel was pretty good, but the food was average. Medical facilities and games are also available here like hockey, athletics, football and cricket.
Faculty: Faculty members of our college are highly qualified, helpful and knowledgeable. The way they are teaching is very good, and whenever doubt arises, they will clarify immediately. The course curriculum is very strong, which could give me confident whenever I went for an interview.
Other: I have chosen this course because, in my school days, I was interested in agriculture. In our course, practical sessions are more that was very interesting and easily understandable. The college needs to give more marks for practical rather than theory. There is a breaking system, i.e., if you have arrears in the first year, then you are not able to go 3rd year, and also if you have arrears in the 2nd year, then you will not be able to go final year. ICT, i.e., inter college tournament, is organised in our college. Scholarships are also available here, and extracurricular activities like dramatics, Muthamizh Vizha and Sangamithra are also conducted here. Campus surroundings were fantastic and surrounded by more trees.

Absolutely satisfied with teaching and training sessions that are conducted for future education.
Placements: I opted for PG studies after my undergraduate. Now I'm doing PGDM-ABM in Hyderabad in one of the reputed institutes of the country. My Undergraduate degree was very helpful, and the university I chose was best for those who want to pursue graduation in agriculture. As far as I know, the highest package that my classmates received till date is Rs. 30,000 per month. I would like to suggest the students who want to pursue this degree is to try to stay in this stream.
Infrastructure: They have constructed a new building for horticulture college, and our college also provides very good hostel facilities. The city is just 20 km away from the college. We have well-equipped computer labs, and our library is recently renovated. Since the campus is new, we don't have any canteen or other facilities that are available near the college. You have to travel to the city by buses which are frequently available.
Faculty: Our faculty members are from good universities and other reputed institutes. Our dean takes extra care regarding the faculty members. They follow a curriculum which will be changed for every 4 years, and they also provide updated materials to students. Exams are conducted both in online and offline modes.

Hi Romanes. I would suggest you to opt for B.Sc. (Hons.) agricultural sciences because it has huge recognitions and scope. Also, it would be the best decision to chose Chandigarh University's "University Institute of Agricultural Sciences" since is a premier institution of agricultural education
