The following are the main requirements for admission to IHM Chennai's M.Sc. programs:Educational Requirements: Candidates must hold a three-year bachelor's degree in hospitality administration, culinary arts, hotel management, catering science, or tourism management, or an equivalent from an accredited school or university.Minimum Percentage: To graduate, students must have received a minimum of 50% of their total points (45% for categories that are reserved).Entrance Exams: Acceptable results from entrance examinations such as MAT, ATMA, CAT, NCHMCT JEE, XAT, etc. Programs that take CUCET scores into account.Job Experience: Two years of full-time job experience in the hospitality sector are necessary for the M.Sc. in Hospitality Administration. Not required for other Master's programs. Age restriction: For the general category, the upper age restriction is 28 years old as of July 1st of the admission year. There is an age relaxation for reserved categories.Language Proficiency: Knowledge and proficiency in the English language are prerequisites. Scores from the TOEFL or IELTS may be necessary for overseas nationals.Selection Process: In addition to submitting documentation, shortlisted candidates must show up for a round of personal interviews and group discussions.A student's admittance is contingent upon meeting the minimal eligibility requirements, as well as entrance exam cutoffs, interview performance, seat availability, and reservation policies.

The approximate cost of tuition for the several undergraduate (UG) courses that IHM Chennai offers is as follows:The cost of a three-year B.Sc. programme in hospitality and hotel administration is Rs. 1.5 lakhs.B.Sc. in Culinary Arts: Three years at a cost of Rs. 1.5 Lacs annuallyThe cost of a three-year B.Sc. programme in travel and tourism management is Rs. 1.25 lakhs.Three years at Rs. 1 Lacs for a Bachelor of Arts in Culinary ArtsTwo years at a cost of Rs. 60,000 per year for a Diploma in food productionThe cost of a two-year Diploma in accommodation operations is Rs. 60,000.A two-year Diploma in baking and patisserie costs Rs. 75,000.During admission, students are required to pay one-time costs for registration, eligibility, lab fees, and other fees in addition to tuition. That comes to about Rs. 15,000.Mess and hostel fees are additional, if applicable. The pricing schedule could be changed once a year. For the current fees, students are recommended to check the IHM Chennai website or speak with the admissions department. Meritorious students may potentially be eligible for scholarships.

Counseling is the next step in the selection process for B.Sc. programs at IHM Chennai, after passing the NCHMCT JEE exam.- Students must show up for the NCHMCT-conducted NCHMCT JEE, or National Council for Hotel Management Joint Entrance Examination.- Students must attend counseling sessions to choose their desired IHM institute and course, based on their NCHMCT JEE score and rank.- The following is the minimum NCHMCT JEE score needed for IHM Chennai:1. B.Sc. in Hotel Administration & Hospitality:Category: general; 50 % - 45 percentile for reserved categories2. B.Sc. Culinary Arts Program: 55 percentile for the general category and 50 percentile for the reserved categories 3. For Tourism & Travel Management B.Sc.50 percentile for the general category and 45 percentile for the reserved categoriesStudents must also complete other eligibility requirements, such as passing the 12th grade in a related field, in addition to the minimum score requirement.The final decision is made based on the candidate's academic background, counseling merit rank, seat availability, and category-specific cutoffs.In conclusion, passing the NCHMCT JEE cutoff is necessary for admission to IHM Chennai for a B.Sc.
