Yes, you could choose between any life science courses you want. Assuming you have two reasons to change field:-
1. Thinking that no job opportunities for a Bachelor degree and/or for microbiology
2. Recently developed an interest in food technology, so you could pursue Ph.D or get a dream job in the same domain (or you decided to join with friends pursuing food technology).
However, if you still have interest in microbiology, there are definitely varied opportunities for microbiologists. Instead of doing M.Sc, you could do a job oriented Diploma course like certificate program in quality control microbiology, one such course is offered by the big player pharma company based in Bangalore.
Once after securing job and gaining few yrs of experience, where you have real experience to learn not just food tech but also about other career opportunities. Also to interact and learn from the scientists and team members. Well, you could take a call that time. You could quit job to follow your dream, of if you decided to do Ph.D, many companies like Biocon, Dr Reddy's offer research program for the employees.
Good luck!

I am a student of the institute and as far as I know the placements re good overall for the college but for aerospace it is moderate. You need to sit for other companies as well rather than hoping to get in the core companies.

Your marks are good enough but it depends upon your percentile. If your percentile is good then you would surely get.

Hi,As the name is self-explanatory, India Institute of Engineering Science & Technology is one of the biggest and the oldest institution for doing engineering and architectural courses in India. The market value of IIEST is no less than Indian Institutes of Technology. So in the same way, the faculty members are also one of the best here. The professor (Mr. Mukherjee) is the founder of Tata Iron & Steel. Apart from it, there are a lot more teachers who have an excellent knowledge of the subject and having the good industrial experience to pass on the children. On the side of infrastructure, this is the best college. Its hostels (of boys and girls) are very good. The campus is at a great location with a good connectivity of public transports. And, the college is also Wi-Fi enabled to access all the study material for the students.

Dear,
NITs are always good. And a CSE in IT would be very fair. And above all, NIT Trichy is a great choice I'd say.
