Dear Student,
So far inputs I have for doing M.Sc. offered by S.C.S.&T of IIEST required qualification is - B.Sc. Hons or equivalent with 55% (40% for SC/ST) in different domains like microbiology, botany, chemistry, biochemistry, physiology etc. which includes Food and nutrition also. There is one condition - the candidate must have to study chemistry as one of the subject in Degree level. Standard admission procedure of the Institute is followed. You may visit their site for detailed information.
Best wishes.

Placements are best at IIEST. On an average, around 20-25 companies visit the campus for placements. Around 70-75% students are placed every year with an average salary package of 3.5 LPA.

The answer could have been specific if the question would have been more specific about the branch or state concerned. As of now, a general idea of opening and closing category ranks of IIESTS is as follows following discussion is based entirely on the basis of the institute's record in 2017 which also happens to be the latest till date:
For other state students:
The opening category rank was 3147 for Computer Science and Engineering.
The closing category rank for Metallurgy and Materials Engineering was 11691.
The opening and closing ranks for all other departments lie in between these two extremes.
For home state students:
The opening category rank was 3801 for Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering.
The closing category rank for Mining Engineering was 28098.
The opening and closing ranks for all other departments lie in between these two extremes.
For architecture, town and regional planning department:
The opening and closing category ranks for other state students were 837 and 1145, respectively.
The opening and closing category ranks for home state students were 896 and 3207, respectively.
I've just tried to avoid details to keep the answer short and simple. Also, the urge to know the cut-off marks so as to get admission in this college is vague and of no sense as the admission is purely on the basis of rank and not that of marks. In case, you want any specific details (of the same form as the one gave above), please let me know, I heard this fuss a few months back that further admissions in IIESTS will be done on the basis of JEE Advanced ranks, unlike what has been happening till date, but there has been no further clarification about it since then and so it cannot be said for sure.
