BTech programme offered by IIIT Bhagalpur isn't free of cost. Candidates are required to pay the tuition fee amount of  INR 8.7 Lacs at the end of the admission procedure. Other than the tuittion fee candidates seeking admission to BTech course have to apy the applicatiob fee of INR 1000 for Male candidates of Unreserved/Gen-EWS/OBC category and INR 800 for Female candidates of Unreserved/Gen-EWS/OBC category. However, candidates after getting admitted to the Intstitute are eligible for the Institution based scholarship scheme whcih act as an fee waiver for the Students.

JEE Main exam dates for BTech programme for admission to IIIT Bhagalpur is scheduled on Jan 24, which is tentative. As per the exam pattern of JEE Mains, the exam is conducted online as a Computer Based Test. JEE Main 2024 will have three papers, Paper 1 for admission to BE/BTech course, Paper 2A for BArch admission and Paper 2B for BPlan course admission. The duration of the JEE Main exam is three hours and has Multiple Choice (MCQ) and Integer Value (Numerical Value Answer) type questions. IIIT Kota offers BTech in four specialisation i.e. Computer Science & Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, Mechatronics and Automation Engineering and Mathematics & Computing. The total seat intake by the BTech course is 344 which is divided among all the specialisation. Computer Science & Engineering or CSE has a seat the intake of 165 which the highest among all specialisations. IIIT Kota admission to the flagship BTech course is completely entrance-based.
