The selection to IIIT Bhagalpur M.Tech programme is based on the candidate’s GATE exam score followed by the centralised counselling process regulated by the CCMT through which they are allotted a seat. The seat allotment also depends on the college cutoff and a candidate’s preference for that course and college. GATE registrations usually begin in the month of August. 

BTech programme offered by IIIT Bhagalpur isn't free of cost. Candidates are required to pay the tuition fee amount of  INR 8.7 Lacs at the end of the admission procedure. As admission to IIIT Bhagalpur BTech progrmme is entirely based on JEE Main exam, therefore, candidates are to submit documents that is relevant for the JEE Main exam.
