Top seven IIMs would call you for GDPI at 99+ percentile in CAT and same as for XLRI where cutoff same as IIMs and exam accepted is XAT. Good luck and cheers.

Yes you can. As long as you are eligible as per the X,XII marks criteria (average &get;80 for Science, &get;77 for commerce, &get;75 for arts background), you won't be directly ineligible for IIMA.

But since your score is less in graduation, you need to compensate for the same by getting a higher percentile in CAT. Based on CAT 2015, you will require 99.8+ to be on the safe side for a call from IIMA.
All the Best!

That is not true. However if you graduation percentage in engineering is 78 or 75, you are seriously disadvantaged and would need to do really well in CAT to compensate for that.

It should totally depend on you. IIMs or any other business school do not impose a condition on type of course. The only requirement is that you should have completed your bachelor's degree with minimum 60% marks.

To get into MBA course you will need to appear for the entrance exam. You can appear for it this year and then apply to different colleges. Unfortunately there is no other way to get into business schools in India(atleast for a fresher).
