I am assuming, you are asking for PGP programme. At IIM Bangalore, it is mandatory to stay in the hostel in the first year. However, in the second year, you are given a choice to stay off campus. Given the high weightage to various group components, frequent meetings and lot of activities, it is highly advisable to stay on campus and I personally know no person who might have chosen to stay off campus.

You are eligible for admission but final admission depends on a lot of factors. The shortlisting criteria for interviews of IIM-B is based on CAT score, class 10th, class 12th and graduation scores and work experience. In case of IIM-B, the weightage for past academic performance and work experience is high, so you do have good chance if you score well in CAT exam. The graduation scores can create a problem for IIMB specifically but other Iims have a different criteria. You would require a balanced and consistent academic performance.
