First, You should have syllabus with yourself and then read the preparation tips of the toppers. Then make your preparation plan according to your convenience and arrange the study material which will help you to plan and after few months start solving previous year papers.

IPMAT is an entrance exam for admission in five years Integrated programme in management conducted by IIM Indore. The IPMAT 2020 syllabus comprises the following topics.
1. Quantitative Ability- MCQ : 40 Questions This covered the following as Number systems, Data Interpretation, Averages, Quantitative reasoning, Distance, Time and Work, Mixtures and Allegations, Interpretation of tables, Common graphs & charts, etc.
2. Quantitative Ability- SA : 20 Questions
3. Verbal Ability- MCQ : 40 Questions : Sentence completion, Synonyms, Antonyms, Idioms, and Phrases, Comprehension of passages, Proper Usage of Words, Vocabulary, Grammar and Fill in the Blanks. Please refer the following books for IPMAT preparation.

In order to prepare well for IPMAT 2020, candidates need to prepare well with the help of IPMAT past year and sample papers. By solving sample papers of IPMAT 2020 candidates will have an idea of the difficulty level faced in IPMAT 2020 question papers. Candidates can solve the sample papers while keeping in mind the Syllabus of IPMAT 2020.

Candidates with a great CAT score (95+ percentile) and excellent performance in the interview rounds can get admission in an institute like IIM Trichy. For VA, which was my the weakest section I alternated in RC and VA, practised 4 RCs one day, solved 40-50 VA questions the next day and so on. For RCs, in particular remember you don't need to solve all question of an RC, because even if questions seem easy options might be tricky so leave them. Solve easy questions in that time. (Do not take any QA question, RC or a DI LR set on your ego. One cannot afford it in an exam like CAT where saving time is everything, learn to leave the questions too).
For vocabulary, I completed word power made easy by Norman Lewis and revised vocabulary sessions of TIME 34 times. (Never SAT and mugged up the words, that's not required. CAT judges you on your analytical skills mainly and not vocabulary). You can take tips from my strategy.
