The admission procedure consist of 2 phases. In the first one you are given a call to attend What GD and PI based on your CAT performance. The minimum eligibility criteria for IIM-Shillong is SSC-50% and HSC-50%. You need to appear for CAT exam and based on your CAT score and academic profile, you will be called for WAT-PI. After WAT-PI students are finally selected.
30% weightage is given to CAT score and 70 percent weightage is given to WAT/PI.

It will depend on your social caste, educational background, work experience, interview etc. It cannot be said with certainty about one's chance of getting admission at IIM Shillong. Why do we transmit electricity in AC? I was asked about the working of touchscreens and cellular networks. Why mobile phones are called cellular phones?Most sold mobile phone in the world? Largest telecom operators in India? Then I was asked on some political issues of Meghalaya. I was asked about the socio economic topics of north east and how i viewed them. I was also asked about our country's relationship with neighbouring countries such as Bangladesh, Myanmar etc. and the role of north east in it. The interview went on for 20 mins. and I answered with confidence.
