IIM Shillong - Indian Institute of Management Answered Questions

IIM Shillong process of shortlisting candidates for GDPI is independent of those of other IIMs. IIM Shillong sends an intimation mail to the registered email of the shortlisted candidates. The Candidates are required to fill out the interview form and upload the same on the Admission Portal of IIM Shillong.IIM Shillong, then sends GD/PI call letters to only those candidates who have filled the interview form correctly. IIM Shillong does not send any intimation to those candidates who are not shortlisted, or who haven't filled the interview form correctly within the stipulated time.Based on the performance of the candidate in GDPI, a merit list for final admission offers is prepared. IIM Shillong also prepares a waitlist, according to the ranks of the candidate, for admission in case any candidate do not accept the admission offer.

For admission to MBA (or PGP) 2024 batch at IIM Shillong, the CAT test will be conducted on November 26, 2023. Aspirants of IIM Shillong are required to appear for the exam in Computer Based Testing mode at the allotted test centres. CAT exam 2023 will be held in three slots:Morning slot: 8:30 AM to 10:30 AMAfternoon slot: 12:30 PM to 2:30 PMEvening slot: 4:30 PM to 6:30 PMEarlier, the CAT exam used to be of 180 minutes with 100 questions but in 2020, both exam duration and number of questions were reduced due to COVID-19 pandemic. Now, starting CAT 2022, the total number of questions stands at 66 as part of CAT pattern.
