Eligibility requirements (ERs) for admission to M.Sc.+ Ph.D. in Molecular Medical Microbiology at IIT Kharagpur: The candidates who qualify in JAM shall have to fulfill the following eligibility requirements (ERs) for admissions to IITs. 1. All candidates admitted through JAM should have a Bachelors degree. 2. In the qualifying degree, the aggregate marks or CGPA/CPI without rounding-off (taking into account all subjects, including languages and subsidiaries, all years combined) should be at least 55% or 5.5 out of 10 for General/OBC-NCL/EWS category candidates, and 50% or 5.0 out of 10 for SC/ST and PwD category candidates. Educational qualification : B.Sc./B.S. degree (three years/six semesters) with Biology/ Biotechnology/ Botany/ Life Science/ Physiology/ Zoology/ Microbiology/ Biochemistry/ Genetics and molecular biology as Honors/Major/Main Subject, and any one of Chemistry/ Physics/ Mathematics as one of compulsory subsidiary subject for at least one year/ two semesters. Further, you have to attempt Biotechnology (BT) as test paper in IIT JAM for admission here.

Cultural fest, spring fest is the biggest festival in eastern india.

Yes, you can apply for M.Sc after completing the graduation degree in physics, The IIT JAM exam is held for admission into M.Sc. Ph.D. and other integrated courses from IITs, NITs or IISc institutes, The eligible candidates can apply for the exam in October- November months. If you want to be in core sector, Mechanical in IIT, BHU is good. IIT, BHU is a very old college, and branches like Civil and Mechanical are best. If you want to join non-core after graduation, opt for Chemical at IIT KGP. Placements at IIT BHU are very good in CSE and core branches.
