This range is extremely near to the cut off rank of 6169 for the B.Tech. programme in Metallurgical & Materials Engineering in Round 6. This was under the All India Quota for the general category. You cannot afford to receive a lower score than this unless the candidate falls into a different category or is a different resident. There is a chance of being admitted with this rank, but as the cutoffs vary every round, getting in at a higher rank will undoubtedly boost your chances of being admitted to the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras.

IIT Madras is a premier institution of India which offers around 100, UG, PG, joint degree, exchange & research programmes. The institute has been consistently ranked 1st by the NIRF Rankings in 2023 for the fourth time in a row. Also, the institute ranked 250 by the QS World Rankings 2023.Being amongst the top 5 institutes of the country, IIT Madras has always been the first choice for students, especially for those who want to pursue Engineering programmes which include courses like BTech & M.Tech because of the institute’s quality education and research.Apart from the quality technical education that the institute imparts to the students, the placement statistics of IIT Madras are one the major highlights of the institute. Getting a 1 Cr package is not a new thing for some of the top students of IIT Madras. Now, talking about the life at the campus of IIT Madras one may get mesmerized by experiencing the flora and fauna of the institute’s campus. There are a lot of deer, black bucks, and monkeys on the institute’s premises. There is nothing significant to talk about the cons of IIT Madras because there is nothing much discussed in the reviews given by the institute’s students that can be considered as weak points.
