There's no cutoff as such at DOMS IIT Madras. The department calculates a composite score based on your profile and CAT score. Based on the composite score, people get calls for interview. After the interview, interview marks will be added to the composite score and then admissions are given to the candidates in descending order of the final scores. My dear candidate, I'm glad to have you. Actually, placements hold diverse viewpoints. Despite the fact that the members of this department study core subjects, the majority of them are interested in non-core industries including consulting, data analytics, coding, banking, and UPSC. In the non-core field, most of them plan to obtain master's degrees. Every year, 85% of the students get placed. It's great that the college gives students the option to select their career. 70% of students received internship offers. In our department, internships are required for all students. It would be beneficial if you were more interested in the core industry.

Undoubtedly, IIT Mumbai enjoys the luxury of excellent location. It has beaches, it is a Bollywood hub, and it has great places to visit. Mumbai is the Financial Capital of India and draws more employers than any other IIT. IIT Delhi comes a close next but IIT Madras, IIT Kanpur and IIT Kharagpur are far below in the scale of location value. Living in a metro has its perks like better connectivity and better hostels. IIT Mumbai menu card has the greatest number of course options on it. The wide range of courses and their combinations are designed according to the current market demands and the potential demand in the near future. Hence, they prove to be greatly beneficial to students in terms of employment prospects. Over the past few years, IIT Mumbai has been able to attract best pay packages from multinational corporations across the world. Last year, the 5 the biggest salary packages offered to the IITians were offered to IIT-B students. In 2013, as many as 5 IIT Bombay students received a salary offer of about Rs 30 Lacs from MEC Japan, which was amongst the highest international offers made by the company. IIT Mumbai has made its curriculum quite flexible in the last few years much more relaxed or intensive than other IITs as per students choice. While the regular curriculum allows a lot of free time to students, there is a Minors and Honours System to allow students to choose as many courses they would like to pursue per semester.

Hi, None of the IITs, including IIT Chennai, offer management quota seats. In order to be admitted there, you must first pass JEE Mains and then JEE Advanced. Of course, IIT today offers a variety of topics for which there are no entrance exams, but admission is still granted depending on your achievement in the 12th grade exam. Occasionally, depending on the IIT, admission exams are held for seats solely available on their campus. But all of this may be learned once you choose the stream you wish to pursue following your 12th grade year.
