IIT Madras BSc is a four-year, full-time programme offered at the undergraduate level. Some of the specialisations offered are BS in Medical Sciences and Engineering, BS in Biological Science, BS in Electronic Systems, etc. Apart from the full-time BS programme, the Indian Institute of Technology Madras also offers the five-year, integrated BS plus MS programme. IIT Madras fees for BSc include components, such as tuition fees, hostel fees and one-time fees. There are separate mess charges that students have to pay. The one time fee is INR 7050, the tution fee is around INR 1.2 L to INR 10 L and the hostel fee is around INR 1.74 L.

However, if candidates wish to apply for the integrated BS plus MS programme, then they can apply for admission through the scores of the IISER Aptitude Test. Therefore, you can join the BSc course at IIT Madras without giving the JEE.

More than 80% of BTech/ Dual Degree and 75% of Master degree students have been placed till April 30, 2024. The total count of participating companies stood at 256. Furthermore, 44 international offers were made. The IIT Madras average package and median package for the 2024 batch stood at INR 22 LPA and INR 19.60 LPA, respectively. The majority of students (40%) placed during IIT Madras placements 2024 received job roles in the Core sector, followed by 20% offers in the Software sector. The highest package offered to BTech students during IIT Madras placements 2023 stood at INR 1.31 crore per annum. The top recruiters of placements 2023 were Amazon, Bajaj Auto Limited, EY India, Reliance, TCS, etc.
