Well according to me, in IIT Roorkee you got more exposure than IIT ROPAR
You should go for IIT ROORKE, but it all depend upon your interest of engineering.

Previously, only one company arrived for placement of 30 Lacs which follows the procedure like 8.5+ gpa and internship etc. Frankly speaking, IIT Roorkee placement is not good. I will never suggest to rely on it and wait till placement period

You can go for NIT surathkal EEE than metallurgy at IIT Roorkee as it has better scope than metallurgy.

IIT Roorkee ECE is much more better option than IIT Indore car. ECE is the most demanding branch after CSE today and also in terms of placement. Secondly IIT Roorkee is better than Indore according to nirf ranking also.

Hi, Yes, you can apply for M.Sc in applied geology in IITR. As you are already studying B.A in geology honours. First you need to complete your current course, then you can apply for IITR. Best of luck.
