JEE Main 2025 Session 1 registration has closed for IMS Engineering College admission to BTech, BArch, and BPlan courses. The JEE Main 2025 Session 1 exam is scheduled to be held from Jan 22 to Jan 31, 2025.
A few more updates are given below:
- UPTAC Counselling 2024 has concluded with the Special Round (Physical Mode) seat allotment result declaration against vacant seats for admission to BTech (excluding Biotechnology & Agriculture) and Integrated BTech courses.
- The CUET UG registration process 2025 for admission to UG courses will commence tentatively during the last week of Feb 2025. The CUET UG 2025 exam dates will be announced soon.
- The CUET PG registration process 2025 for admission to PG courses is expected to begin during the last week of Dec 2024, tentatively.

I personally can't blame this recession for it because in the nearby colleges, so many companies came to hire, like TCS, Wipro, Qualitative, Nucleus, etc.

Review of IMS Engineering College.
Placements: About 65% of CSE students get placed in some type of company. The average salary package offered in my course was 3.5 LPA. Recruiting companies that came to our college include Sopra Steria, Hexaware, MITS, Nucleus Software, Spider, Qualitas, TCS, Tech Mahindra, Ericsson, Cavisson, HCL, and NEC. Internships are not provided by the college, and students have to find them through LinkedIn. Some companies recruit others for positions like trainer roles in their companies. TCS offers jobs for both Ninja and Digital profiles.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is available for both hostel and college students. There are labs for web development and DSA for 2nd-year students. Classrooms have a seating capacity of 70 people, and some classrooms can accommodate up to 100 students. Nearly every classroom is equipped with a projector. There is also an auditorium for seminars and webinars.
Faculty: Some teachers are highly qualified and good at teaching, but most of them are of average level. Some teachers teach through only PPT, which is not a good way of teaching. The course is moderately relevant but not fully up to date. It makes us industry-ready. Frequency of exams is very high, with many exams being taken in one semester.

Overall, college is good, but don't expect a bollywood-type college life.
Placements: Mostly, 75% got placed, and the salary package offered is between 3 LPA-5 LPA. Overall, placements are average. However, assignments and other tasks are given more focus than coding. Ultimately, skills and expertise we have to do all things on our own.
Infrastructure: Classrooms and library are good. There is a little bit of internet issues. Canteen is not good with high prices and the staff of the canteen is not cooperative. Also, there are limited food items available in the canteen. Fast food is not so tasty. There is a cafe at the college which is good and worthy.
Faculty: Teachers are mostly helpful, but some teachers are very rude. All teachers are highly qualified, but in the end, we have to study on our own. Assignments are given more focus than the CT marks, and some teachers are very supportive in terms of attendance.
Other: Fest is held in 2 years, and fests are good.

Really good faculty and well-mannered students.
Placements: The recruiting companies that have visited our college in the past few years are quite famous like Accenture, Pacific, IBM, Future First, Axxela, Nigaro, etc. The average package we get here is around 6 Lacs per annum, and it's a great amount for a fresher.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is okay, and the food in the canteen is good. The college provides us with great facilities like free Wi-Fi network, good canteen food, fests, and DJ nights. The premises are well-maintained, and the classrooms and the students are well-mannered.
Faculty: The faculty here is very nice, friendly, and helpful. They always answer our doubts and keep us engaged while teaching. The semester exams are not that difficult if you study hard while listening to the faculty, and the pass percent is around 80 percent.

An average college with average placements, and some of the faculty is genuinely good.
Placements: The placement scenario is not satisfactory. I don't know the exact percentage of students who get placed, but I guess it should be around 60-70%. The average salary package as shown on the website is 6 LPA but it could be low due to an ongoing placement scenario. Our college provides paid internships, so I am not interested in this.
Infrastructure: I am not a hosteller, but as far as I know, it is good or liveable. The library is good. Wi-Fi is average. A gym is available for interested students. I only consider packet food in canteen rather than cooked one because I don't find them good and they are overpriced.
Faculty: Some teachers are genuinely helpful and knowledgeable. They encourage and push students to do better. The curriculum is good, but there are still some cons like theories are more and less practical knowledge or teaching style. Semester exams are easy to score, but AKTU checking is the worst. They can fail students even if they have done great in exams.
Other: I chose this course because of the boom in the IT sector. I would like them to leave the conventional way of teaching and adopt something like real-life problems and how to deal with them through what we have learnt. Fests are held only once a year. Our college conducts extracurricular activities like fresher's days, DJ nights, and sports. Many clubs are available for interested students.

Good management of college and sports opportunities.
Placements: Mostly students of my college get placed in 4th year. The highest package is 46 Lacs per annum and the average package of my college is 6 Lacs per annum. Internship opportunities are also given to the students of 3rd and 4th year so that they can explore and select the best job profile.
Infrastructure: Classroom condition is satisfactory. Library facilities, book lending, and Wi-Fi facilities are also there on the campus for students with no extra cost. All classrooms are air-conditioned and have proper ventilation systems. Hostel mess food of my college is not so good. Canteen and sports also there.
Faculty: Faculty members of my college are very helpful and well-qualified. Their teaching quality is impressive and students can easily grab the information. Semester exams are not that much difficult, students can easily pass exams with good percentage. Passing percentage of my college is also good.
Other: Fests and sports events are also organized by the college management every year. I chose the CSE branch because of the good faculty members of ImS Engineering College. Attendance criteria is the point where the college lags. So attendance criteria must be lesser so that students can go for internships.

Overall the college is not so good. I am dissatisfied with my college.
Placements: Only 30 percent of students are placed. The highest package was 40 lacs, the lowest was 2.5 lacs, and the average was 3.5 lacs. The top recruiters are Amazon, TCS, Deloitte, etc. No internship is provided by the college; data analysis was the top role offered by our college.
Infrastructure: The basic facilities, like various courses and library facilities, are provided; the classrooms are well maintained; all classes have AC facility the hostel have gym facility; the hostel have football field, volleyball field, a cricket field, etc. The quality of food is not so good in our school, but there is a medical facility for the students .
Faculty: Only the teachers in the first year are supportive and helpful. The teachers are qualified; they have done their Masters in their respective subjects; some are Ph.D. holders. Also, the course is not curriculum-relevant; they don't make the students curriculum ready. The semester is not too hard; they can be passed by reading previous year's questions.
