IIAE-Dehradun offers a unique way of getting a degree in engineering from abroad. Two initial years in India followed by two years abroad is the structure. As AICTE won't accept this, they have tied up with universities abroad for Grant of degree. The fees will get reduced only if less students apply to this Institute. This is a good college and it's not fake. IIAE Dehradun is one of the oldest aeronautical institutes established in 1992 in India and has made many aeronautical engineers who are working in India as well as abroad.
IIAE is approved by the IAO.

Eligibility criteria for aerospace engineering after class 12 is mentioned below:
The candidate should have passed 10+2 examination from CBSE or any other equivalent examination board with physics, chemistry and mathematics as core subjects. The candidates should also fulfill minimum qualifying marks in aggregate of the subjects.
An entrance exam may also be conducted by university for admission to their course. Alternatively, you can also opt to appear for national or state level entrance exam to secure admission in this course.

Hello Vivek, IIAE at Dehradun established in 1992, follows quite a different model than normal colleges. This course has two years in India followed by two abroad model. College claims good internships / placements record that may be correct. This branch in IIT's will definitely be much better but then getting into IIT is quite a task.

From what you have said, this course does not appear to be of engineering Graduation. But it's a course about aircraft maintenance leading to graduation and most importantly, enabling the student to obtain license from DGCA.Even if college is not giving scholarships, you can get education loan.

I have studied there and the college has collaborated with foreign universities so students actually have a future in the field of aviation. Everyone knows the scope of aviation industry in India, so it's smart for them to collaborate with foreign universities so students at-least have future after completion of the course and are not left jobless.

This college is not a normal college where you will earn degree of engineering. It's quite different. It is proposing totally different admission process as well as saying that two years in India followed by two years abroad will be the system followed. It's your choice whether to follow such a riskful adventure. But then what us life without adventure?
