A valid CAT score is usually required for admission to the MBA programme at IIM Mumbai (formerly NITIE Mumbai, now IIM Mumbai), since the Common Admission Test (CAT) is the main entrance exam that all Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs) assess. For admission to its programs, IIM Mumbai does, however, also accept GMAT scores, especially for candidates who are international or who fall under a certain category, such as NRIs. If you have a competitive GMAT score but no CAT score, you could still be able to apply. Furthermore, a CAT score is not necessary for admission to some IIMs' executive programs or certificate courses, which may have other requirements.
