Indian Institute of Mass Communication, Amravati offers only two post-graduate courses, namely Post Graduation Diploma in English Journalism and Post Graduation Diploma in Marathi Journalism. However, later Indian Institute of Mass Communication, Amravati introduced a Post Graduation Diploma in Journalism (Hindi). The duration of the Post Graduation Diploma programme is one year.

The Indian Institute of Mass Communication, Amravati offers two Postgraduation Diploma courses. Admission to the courses is based on an online Indian Institute of Mass Communication, Amravati entrance exam or Computer Based Test conducted by the National Testing Agency.

Indian Institute of Mass Communication, Amravati offers four types of Scholarships and Funding for its students which are mentioned below;
1- The Ratio Aggarwal Scholarship will be awarded to a meritorious female student of the Hindi Journalism Course, based on her performance in the Indian Institute of Mass Communication Entrance Exam.
2- The Star TV Scholarship will be awarded to a meritorious student of Radio and TV Journalism, based on the student's performance in the Indian Institute of Mass Communication Entrance Exam.
3- The Achin Ganguly Scholarship will be awarded to two meritorious candidates in Advertising & Public Relations, based on their performance in the Indian Institute of Mass Communication Entrance Exam & final result after completion of the Course.
4- The Jaswinder Singh Memorial Scholarship will be awarded to two meritorious candidates, one each from Radio & TV Journalism and Hindi Journalism, based on their performance.
