Hi, At present, both the institutes offer PG Diploma in English Journalism. However, there's a comparison done on other factors for both Indian Institute of Mass Communication, Jammu and Indian Institute of Mass Communication, Aizawl:Location:IIMC Jammu: Located in Jammu & Kashmir,  offering access to media industries in North India.IIMC Aizawl: Located in Mizoram,  offering exposure to the unique media landscape of the Northeast region.Faculty and Facilities:Both the colleges have experienced faculty and adequate facilities, but access to industry experts and alumni networks might be stronger in Jammu due to its location.Fees and Cost of Living:Fees might be slightly higher in Jammu,  but cost of living is generally lower than Aizawl.

Hi Nishar, The minimum eligibility for PG Diploma in English is Class 12 with 60% in any stream. However, Indian Institute of Mass Communication Jammu accept CUET PG scores to offer admission to PG Diploma in English Journalism. Central University Entrance Test (Postgraduate) or CUET PG, is an all-India level entrance exam which is being introduced for admission into PG programmes in Central and participating Universities. 

IIMC Jammu only offers PG Diploma in English Journalism as per the official website of the institute. Hence, its English Journalism specialisation is the most popular one as well. The institute follows a fight for seats in the following programme, i.e. PG Diploma in English Journalism. There's no clarity on the no. of seats offered by the institute.

In an effort to increase its national reach, the Indian Institute of Mass Communication established the Northern Regional Centre in Jammu in 2012. From what I could reserach, placements at IIMC Jammu can be considered decent, with students securing jobs in various media and communication sectors across India. Leading media houses such as NDTV, India Today, The Hindu, Hindustan Times, Times of India, Aaj Tak, Zee News, Doordarshan, Public Relations agencies, and government organizations are among the major recruiters.

Post-graduate Diploma courses are offered by both IIMC Jammu and AIMC; but, without knowing more about the individual courses and their curricula, it is difficult to say which is superior. But according to, Jammu campus students topped the IIMC exams four times: in the 2012–13, 2013–14, 2014–15, and 2017–18 sessions. Thus, for individuals wishing to take a post-graduate Diploma in English journalism, IIMC Jammu can be a suitable choice. Hi Nishar,  Among all the IIMC campuses, IIMC Delhi is the best for a PG Diploma. However, Indian Institute of Mass Communication, Jammu is of a decent reputation as well. The institute is new compared to other IIMCs but is the best in the North-most India. Life at IIMC Jammu is quite diverse and dynamic. IIMC Jammu attracts students from across the country, leading to a rich cultural exchange and opportunities to learn from different perspectives.

Hi Nishar, There's no mention of the entrance exam scores on the official website of IIMC Jammu. As of now, Indian Institute of Mass Communication Jammu does accept CUET PG scores to offer PG Diploma in English Journalism. CUET PG 2024 cutoff is expected to be released separately by the participating universities. The cutoff refers to the minimum marks one has to secure in order to qualify for the exam.
