The placement ratio of IIMC PG Diploma is quite appreciable which ranges from 70-80 percent. As mentioned above the median salary package goes up to INR 4-6 Lacs per annum respectively. The major recruiting organizations are the media houses, public relation agencies, and business companies. Most of the recruits are hired by Malayala Manorama Company, Mathrubhumi and Asianet Companies. Upon graduating, between 20 to 25% of learners continue to post primary institutions or pursue business. The maximum salary output among the internships was between INR 8 to 10 Lacs per annum. The college also offers placements for internship with salary ranging from 5000-10000 Rupees per month.

The previous years' cutoff marks to attain admission to PG Diploma in IIMC, Kottayam is generally in the range of 297-663 for the General category only. It should be noted that the above cutoff ranks may change with the programme of study and category. For example, the passing marks in terms of cutoff rank for admission to PG Diploma in Journalism was 566-651. The cutoff ranks by no means are fixed for each passing year, still the admission is systematic and also the other components including Counseling and Seat Allotment. The whole amount that a student is required to pay for the PG Diploma course in IIMC, Kottayam is roughly INR 95400. The course usually lasts for one year while the number of students intake lies between 60-70 students a course.

Yes, the Indian Institute of Mass Communication (IIMC), Kottayam branch is a good institution for students who wish to pursue a Post Graduate Diploma. This institute offers two PG Diploma courses which are as follows:Post Graduate Diploma in Journalism (English)Post Graduate Diploma in Journalism (Malayalam)These courses are practical and output-oriented. But since I earlier said that if you can manage to get the Delhi one then all the other IIMCs are pale as compared to that one. So, if you'll ask me i'll once again recommend you to the Indian Institute of Mass Communication, Delhi.

The best course among the offerings at IIMC Kottayam is subjective and depends on individual interests and career goals. However, the PG Diploma in English Journalism and Malayalam Journalism are popular choices at the institute, providing students with comprehensive training and opportunities in the field of journalism.Indian Institute of Mass Communication Kottayam (also known as IIMC Kottayam), was set up as the Southern Regional Centre of IIMC at Kottayam Kerala in 1995 to extend its national footprint. It was established to train working journalists, public relations professionals and state information officers. The students of IIMC Kottayam have been recruited in diverse international, national and regional news organisations such as Reuters, WION, PTI, The Times of India, The Indian Express, Mathrubhumi and Malayala Manorama. As of now, the institute only offers two courses, namely Online PG Diploma in English Journalism and Online PG Diploma in Malayalam Journalism. IIMC Kottayam will be situated in approximately 10 acres of campus in Pampady area of Kottayam after the construction of its permanent campus. The permanent campus will have an administrative block, separate hostels for boys and girls, and faculty quarters.

It consists of two papers: Paper I (General English) and Paper II (Journalism). Candidates can apply for IIMC 2024 admission by visiting the official website. The last date to submit the IIMC 2024 registration form is January 24, 2024. The IIMC entrance exam 2024 will be conducted by the NTA through the Common University Entrance Test (CUET-PG). In 2019, IIMC established a permanent Southern Regional Campus in Pampady, about 12 kilometers from Kottayam. The campus is set on 10 acres of scenic, green land.
