Whether IIMC Kottayam is more expensive than Amity Online depends on the specific programme you are comparing and the chosen course duration. Here's a breakdown to help you decide:IIMC Kottayam:PG Diploma in Journalism (English) and Journalism (Hindi): 87,000 per yearPG Diploma in Advertising and Public Relations: 1,23,000 per yearPG Diploma in Malayalam Journalism: 87,000 per yearDiploma Course in Development Journalism: 75,000 per yearDiploma Course in Radio and Television Journalism: 78,000 per yearDiploma Course in Hindi Journalism: 75,000 per yearAmity Online:PG Diploma in Mass Communication: 50,400 per yearPG Diploma in Journalism and Mass Communication: 50,400 per yearPG Diploma in Public Relations and Corporate Communications: 50,400 per yearPG Diploma in Advertising and Marketing Management: 50,400 per yearPG Diploma in Digital Marketing: ?50,400 per yearComparison:For most PG Diploma programs, IIMC Kottayam is indeed more expensive than Amity Online. The difference can range from approximately 36,600 to 72,600 per year. However, it's important to note that the duration of the programme can also play a role in overall cost. While IIMC Kottayam programs typically last one year, some Amity Online programs can be completed in six months. This means that even with a higher fee per year, the total cost for the shorter Amity Online programme might be lower. While IIMC Kottayam generally has higher programme fees than Amity Online, the total cost may vary depending on the chosen programme duration and individual circumstances. Carefully evaluate the specific programs, consider additional expenses like hostel and mess fees, and research any available scholarships to make an informed decision based on your financial situation and academic priorities.

Merit-based admissions to postgraduate Diploma programmes are made based on a candidate's performance on the entrance exam or qualifying degree examination scores. Students must have graduated from an institution recognised by the UGC with a minimum cumulative grade of 45–50% for the unreserved category and 40–45% for the reserved category in order to be eligible, though there may be additional requirements unique to the institution. A candidate must score at least 300–400 on the CUET to be considered for admission, even though there are no established minimum or maximum values. The expected CUET PG cut-off for the general category in 2024 is between 230 and 240. Similarly, the expected cut-off for OBC candidates is set between 220-230.
