Hi, if you want to prepare for entrance exam of IIMC and other ones then you should read the newspaper daily and be aware of the current affairs and issues. Secondly, you should know about the different media, their current scenario and historical pattern etc. You must be updated with current affairs, new happenings, political, economic beats etc. You must also have a good writing skill in order to be eligible for the written test and must read the newspaper daily. After qualifying the written test you must prepare for group discussion and personal interview. IIMC offers the following scholarships for its various programs:
1. The Rati Aggarwal Scholarship will be awarded to a meritorious female student of the Hindi Journalism Course, based on her performance in the Entrance Exam.
2. The Star TV Scholarship will be awarded to a meritorious student of Radio & TV Journalism, based on his / her performance in the Entrance Exam.
3. The Achin Ganguly Scholarship will be awarded to two meritorious students of Advertising & Public Relations, based on their performance in the Entrance Exam & final result after completion of the Course.
4. The Jaswinder Singh Memorial Scholarship will be awarded to two meritorious students, one each from Hindi Journalism and Radio & TV Journalism, based on their performance in the Entrance and First Semester Exams.

Main motive is to read newspaper and watch news. Almost all news channels will give you the breaking news, most of the newspapers will give you news of many areas, regions, cities, state etc. It is just that you have to focus to build your knowledge, awareness about current affairs, and command on languages (mainly Hindi and English). I would suggest you to read newspapers of both languages and news channels as well. And, moreover watch different news channels and read different newspapers, so that you will get to know the presentation in different manner of the same news.

You can apply for Post Graduate Diploma in Journalism as you have completed graduation from a recognized university.
You will still need to try your luck to become an RJ however you qualify to apply for the course Post Graduate Diploma in Journalism.
