Check last year question papers. Read at least 2-3 newspapers daily. Magazines like India Today, Caravan, and Outlook. That's all.

Yes, it will help you a lot. IIMC is itself a Brand in media. So, a Diploma from IIMC will help you in academic plus, it will also help you secure to a good job with reputed brand.
6 years ago I applied for both Radio & TV journalism and Eng. journalism at IIMC and gave both the papers. Can I get selected for both the programmes?

If you are a graduate, you can pursue PGD in Journalism from IIMC. Other courses specialise in other fields and not journalism.
