Eligible candidates need to appear for the written test conducted by the college.
Group Discussion & Personal Interview (GDPI)
Shortlisted candidates will be called for Group Discussion/ Personal Interview or both based on the score obtained in written test.
The applicants for NRI / NRI sponsored seats are not required to appear for a written examination. However, they will be required to appear for Group Discussion / Interview, or both.
Final Selection:
Candidates are selected based on written test score and performance in group discussion and personal interview.

Moreover, you should also watch T. V. news channels, discussions on current affairs, interviews of famous personalities and advertisements. You should also concentrate on your writing skills and grammar. You can also use various reference books and sample tests available in market to prepare for IIMC test. You can also join various coaching centres to prepare for IIMC test for admission to post graduate Diploma courses in Journalism (English), Journalism (Hindi), Radio and Television Journalism, Advertising and Public Relations and Journalism (Oriya).

Yes, Jamia is really good. But as per my opinion both IIMC and Jamia are almost at same level. So you can go for anyone. It's totally depend on the admission selection procedure and the admission process of both campus. Otherwise you can opt any college of GGSIP university. Those offer journalism and Mass Communication. So if you are interested then, in GGSIPU you can opt JIMS, Vasant Kunj or VIPS, Pitampura.

Keeping yourself up to date with current affairs is a must. Also, a flare of writing should be there. IIMC entrance test is more like application based means whatever you have read or learnt how you apply it in media culture. So, apart from having the sound knowledge of subjects, you need to have a flare of writing.
