IIT BHU, a must read review.
Placements: There are only around 150 students left to be placed out of 5000 therefore the college placements are great. The highest package was around 1.25cr while the lowest around 5-6LPA. Some of the companies were Google Microsoft Adobe etc. Roles included core as well as non core roles of SDE DA/this engineers etc.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure great. Whole college has a Wi-Fi facility but are no ACs in the college just except in the library. The labs are okayish although most of the times equipments don't work we somehow manage. The library isn't enough for the students in the college so sometimes there is a lot of rush especially in summer.
Faculty: The faculty teaching is great. It is pretty easy to understand what they teach and the courses are pretty upto the point. The courses are very much related to the branch we have chosen and help in the future industry experiences of a student. The semester exams are not that difficult and most of the students pass with good CGPA.
Other: IIT BHU is one of the oldest IITs and that is why I chose the college. Also the placements of college are much better than many top IITs even during recession after lockdown, it is pretty impressive.

Indian Institute of Technology, Varanasi review.
Placements: In my course about 90 percent and above students were placed, while some went for higher studies or preparation of government examinations. The highest package is about 70 Lacs while the lowest is 7 Lacs. Internship companies also come for this course in good numbers.
Infrastructure: Labs and library in the institute are fully air conditioned while the classrooms are well ventilated. Wi-fi network is also good for using laptops and computers. The food in mess is appreciable and canteen food is also affordable for students living here. Sports facilities are also appreciable.
Faculty: Teachers teaching are well qualified often recruited from top universities Ph.D. holders. Their teaching methods are very good. The course curriculum is relevant and is in accordance to what is asked in government examinations as well as prepares us for industry work. The semester examinations are on average difficult.

One of the best IITs in India, but declining due to it's security concerns and infrastructure.
Placements: So, we had a decent placement in the previous-year batch. Approximately 80% placement is seen in the Chemical of IIT BHU, including all the domains. The average package is around 20 lacs. And the mean package remains about 18 lacs. This data is not good as compared to previous batches due to the recession.
Infrastructure: IIT BHU is more than 100 years old, so the conditions of the buildings are not good at all. Lecture theaters are newly built and, hence, in good condition. But the hostels and departments' conditions are not at all satisfactory. But the work is in progress to build new hostels and renovate department buildings.
Faculty: IIT BHU offers one of the most qualified and best faculty members in India. A Ph.D. is the minimum criteria for the professors. Most of the professors are Ph.D.s and research scholars. And talking about the curriculum of the chemical branch, it is easier as compared to branches like electrical and electronics.
Other: The college has a great alumni network, and the placements are very good. But the college lags in its infrastructure and security.

Review of Indian Institute of Technology, BHU, Varanasi.
Placements: All students got placed in top companies with average or above-average salary packages. Our college provides 100% placements. Around 5% of students went for higher studies like MS, M.Tech, MBA, etc. The placement rate is 90%. The highest salary package offered in the core field is around 27 LPA - 30 LPA. The average salary package offered in chemical engineering is around 14 LPA - 24 LPA. There are a lot of opportunities to shift to non-core from the core branch. Amazon, Ajio, Uber, Flipkart, etc., visit our college. Top roles offered are chemical engineer, control engineer, etc.
Infrastructure: We have a well-equipped lecture theater. Our college has classrooms. The library is available from 8 am - 11 pm. It has sufficient books, textbooks, journals, newspapers, etc. It has discussion halls, reading halls, Wi-Fi, and computer services for research. Department libraries are very good with all facilities. Hostels have a beautiful garden.
Faculty: All teachers are qualified and knowledgeable in their research fields. Most of them teach us well. We have to study on our own. Almost 75% of attendance is mandatory in our college. The course curriculum makes us industry-ready. Semester exams are difficult compared to other universities. We have to work hard to get above-average marks in exams. The pass criterion is more than 8.5 CGPA. Our college follows relative grading.
Other: I liked mathematics and chemistry, so I chose this course. Our course includes thermodynamics, mass and heat transfer, fluid flow, chemical relations, process control, and engineering. It is the top college in the country. It provides plenty of academic and non-academic opportunities to explore. Our college provides some humanities courses. There are choices for open electives. Our college conducts a cultural fest named Kashiyathra. It organises a sports fest named Spardha. It conducts a tech fest named Technex. A lot of inter-IIT competitions and events are held throughout the year. The campus is green. It has many trees and plants. The railway station and an airport are available near our college. The campus is surrounded by the Banaras Hindu University. It is located in the heart of Varanasi.
