Recent alumni of Indira College of Engineering and Management's (ICEM) B.E. in Mechanical Engineering programme find employment mostly in core mechanical sectors and related businesses, with placements for this programme being moderate. Although ICEM has a specialised placement cell that collaborates with different businesses the market demand for mechanical engineering may affect the employment offers and compensation packages. Depending on the candidate's skill set and internship experience the normal package for mechanical engineering graduates falls between INR 2.5 and 4 LPA. Although placements may be more solid in IT-related fields ICEM frequently recruits from top firms, primarily from the automotive and manufacturing sectors.
