B.Com. in Foreign Trade - Batch of 2024

My review of Indira Gandhi College of Arts and Science, Puducherry.
Placements: In this college, there is no big opportunity for placements. Mostly there will be no placements. Sometimes a small chance for placement even in some small companies with lower reputation are provided to select students. The best way is to learn here and search for jobs outside.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is not that rich like other private colleges, and the fees is too affordable here because it is a government college. Even a middle class family’s child can afford to study here. The facilities are quite average with only basic facilities provided.
Faculty: The exams are conducted properly as per the guidance of Pondicherry University on the dates unannounced by them. The semester exams are not too difficult in my course of B.Com foreign trade compared to others. It is easy to prepare and you can easily pass in all the subjects.
Other: I chose this course because I am interested in the commerce field and the main reason was that it is a government college so the fee too is affordable for me.

Absolutely satisfied with this college. I really recommend everyone to join in this college.
Placements: Actually, there is no placement cell at my college. But sometimes some companies come to my college for recruitment and recruit students. So we can't say that every student studying at this college gets a job. That's the only problem at this college.
Infrastructure: Indira Gandhi College of Arts and Science provides really nominal infrastructural facilities to their students. The library at this college has a thousand books. And there is no Wi-Fi facility in the college. And they have only a small canteen.
Faculty: All the teachers in the college are very knowledgeable and all of them have completed a PG degree. Their teaching is also good. And B.Com. foreign trade is a unique course that many colleges don't have. So it gives a good job opportunity to the students.

My Experience in Indira Gandhi College of Arts and Science Puducherry.
Placements: Normally there is no such option of placements in this college. We have to get the jobs on our own utilising our own skills in market. The only placements available are for the department of B.Com with FOREX approaching for the banking sector. So don't expect any kind of placements here, just focus on developing your skills.
Infrastructure: The Infrastructure is pretty average. The building is not quite big. The small and compact building a comodateds a government school along with the college. There are no classrooms on the ground floor as the school administration occupies the ground floor. The College classrooms are alloted on the 1st and 2nd floor.
Faculty: Exams are conducted under the University of Pondicherry as it is affiliated to that. Exams are conducted on the dates announced by the University besides the other colleges of Pondicherry. The exams are conducted well by the college management and are organised well.
Other: There are no events or cultural days taking place here. I didn't even witness a single event happening in my college in the past 3 years of my enrolment.

I had given my review of the Indira Gandhi College of Arts and Science Pondicherry.
Placements: Placements are fewer at this college. I am studying B.Com. foreign trade at this college. There is a minimum placement in this course. Forex is the only way to get placed in this college. If you are expecting a placement, try another college.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is too good in this college. There is a school located within this same college on the same campus. It is not a big campus like a university or any other private college; it is an average size of campus and you can get all your basic needs met here.
Faculty: Exams are conducted as usual as in other colleges, as per Pondicherry University guidelines. Semester exams are conducted on the same college campus; they will be conducted perfectly without any MS interaction. The exam hall infrastructure also feels good to perform well.
Other: I chose this group because it is a business-related group.
The college campus should be converted into a big building.
They never conduct any special programs or events; please never expect that.
