There are different specialization in MBA are Marketing,Finance,HR. In Marketing specialization-If the students have average marks,It can be manageable. If they have the ability to learn new things, study well, get theoretical as well as practical knowledge, case studies about the marketing field. They will not face any problems in this field. In future you will get profile in marketing such as sales managers, sales executive, area head manager etc. In Finance Specialization-If the students have below 60% marks and the background have other than BBA OR B.com,they will face some problems in placement in core finance companies or Banks. It is compulsory to have commerce background.Well Reputed Companies or core Finance Companies have the criteria of 60% throughout and background Commerce (BBA or B.com). You will get profiles such as financial analyst, financial advicer, underwriting,Investor accounting analysts,Credit appraisals etc.In HR Specialization-If you have average marks,It can be manageable. But you should have good communication skills, good personality. You will get profiles in HR such as Recruitment, apprisals etc.Depends upon your marks and interest You should choose the specialisation what you will able to do.Its totally your decision. We all can advice. From my Point of view Finance specialisation is good.

MBA is affiliated to University of PunePGDM being an autonomous course, syllabus revision and subject updation happens more frequently based on industry feed back .From placement point of view, companies dont discriminate between PGDM and MBA. Dear Akash, Last year's cutoff for open category was 79% for Maharashtra candidates and 94 % for outside Maharashtra candidates. In all probabilities you will not get IIMP.
