Both of these technical colleges have good faculties, good student atmosphere. It depends on how you look at it. These technical institutes aim at making you a good engineer. It depends on how much you are willing to co-operate with them and how much faith and trust you are going to show them towards achievement of your goal. Basically, in terms of college infrastructure and facilities, I guess Heritage Institute of Technology is far ahead of many other popular colleges in Kolkata. In terms of placement, I feel IEM is a little ahead of what we have in IEM college.

I will recommend MBA from IEM for all the students as it provides a diverse source of knowledge and experience in various aspects. It has a good faculty staff and it provides various opportunities to gather experience from a lot of workshops, seminars and industrial tours. We went to an international tour in Singapore this February and did a workshop on digital marketing.

It is a private college for engineering and management. The college is very strict in case of studies, discipline and also other curricular activities. It is one the best private college in management in Kolkata. Being an MBA student, I am pleased with our faculty members and also we have international exposure as we can attend a digital marketing course in NUSS university of Singapore which we know one of the top universities in the world. We have very good campus recruitment with a package of INR. 5 lacs to 12 Lacs. I am going to recommend this college to all who want to pursue MBA in Kolkata.

Obviously, there can't be everything good about either of the institutions. Both of these technical colleges have good faculty members, good student atmosphere. It depends on how you look ATIT. In terms of placement, I feel IEM is a little ahead of what we have in our College. In terms of discipline, which we all have had in our school lives, IEM is just the continuation to that with college dress on and punctuality. In terms of extra curricular activities, here at Heritage we have far more opportunities than IEM. Summing up things at the end would definitely help you choose your desired college. If you wish to continue with your school lives for the next four years of your college life, IEM would definitely be a choice. If you want to do something exciting apart from studies also, Heritage would be surest of options. In future, if you ever feel tired of engineering you could start preparing for CAT GMAT and other stuffs only if you didn't have a school-like life. Definitely, if you consider the students in both of these colleges, they have the same standard and way of thinking. It's not that you are segregated from a batch of good learning students if you are in Heritage Institute. I hope you make a choice that would definitely help you in future.
