Institute of Engineering and Management does not have Civil Engineering. However, it does have Mechanical Engineering branch where placement is good.

MAT is not applicable for MBA in IEM.You have to qualify JEMAT for MBA.

Yes, you have to appear for an MBA entrance exam. In fact if you wish to take admission in any other college also, you have to attend MAT or CAT exam. Regarding IEM you need to give:
MAT entrance exam for PGDM.
CAT entrance exam for MBA.

Techno India is better and also in Techno India student quality and placements are better than CIEM.
