If you fulfill the eligibility criteria of the specific institute, you may complete further admission formalities. There is no entrance examination for students seeking admission under FN/NRI category to any programme. For UG Programs-
The admission shall be on the basis of PCM (in Aggregate) in 10+2 level or equivalent with a minimum of
60% marks. For PG Programs
For admissions, to Masters Programs a minimum of 60% marks in the qualifying examination is required. NRI candidates are those who have passed the qualifying examination as mentioned in the eligibility

In TIET, every year more than 90% of students get placed from my branch. This year 5 students got placed in Microsoft with CTC INR. 40 LPA. Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology takes students on the basis of marks secured in JEE. Placement varies from branch to branch like computer Science has 100 percent.

If your score in boards is above 85% and your CG is approximately above 9.5, you will easily get scholarship. You can get a scholarship in first year itself on the basis of your JEE Mains score and then in subsequent years on the basis of your CGPA.
