The student-faculty ratio is 15:1, enables faculty to focus their time on individual cases that they may mentor in order to reach the end results. Students inform that nutritionally sound meals are furnished by the mess catering to tastes of different people. The meals prepared here are hygienic and good in quality, which results in pleasing dining experience. The selection criteria of the K.L.E. Society's Institute of Management Studies and Research for MBA/PGDM programs are quite essential. The applicants should hold a recognised bachelor's degree from any of the statutory Universities with an aggregate of 50% marks or 45% for applicants belonging to reserved categories. Admission will be mainly on the basis of scores obtained in entrance examinations like KMAT or Karnataka PGCET. Applicants subsequently undergo a counseling process for getting seats allocated. The institute, while stressing a holistic approach to student selection, does not forget academic performance and entrance exam results in selecting its management students.

The faculty at K.L.E. Society's Institute of Management Studies and Research (KLESIMSR) is said to be generally qualified and experienced, helping to enhance the learning experience. Most of the teaching staff are known for having a very supportive attitude while being able to adjust the teaching method to suit any kind of learner. Some have complained that teaching methods might be improved, especially advocating a move away from old board writing to more vibrant formats like PowerPoint presentations. Overall, the faculty is well qualified and knowledgeable, but something can be done to strengthen engagement techniques to improve more student learning.
