The Institute of Management Studies (IMS) at Banaras Hindu University (BHU) has a multi-stage screening procedure for its MBA programme that is designed to assess candidates thoroughly. The initial stage of the procedure is determined by the candidate's score on the Common Admission Test (CAT), which is the main factor used to narrow down the pool of candidates. To apply to IMS BHU, candidates must take the CAT and submit their results. Candidates are invited for the following round, which typically consists of a Group Discussion (GD) and a Personal Interview (PI), once they have been shortlisted based on their CAT results. Candidates are evaluated on their group work abilities, critical thinking abilities, and communication skills during the GD.
