NIMS claims the highest package of Rs. 12 Lacs and average package of Rs. 4.5 Lacs per annum. NIFR ranking of NIMS is 151. It has academic collaboration with various Indian as well as international universities. According to me, NIMS has better placements specially in media studies.

Ranchi University is a government University whereas NIMS University is a private university. As private universities have better infrastructure, college life and extra curricular activities. NIMS is better than Ranchi University in various aspects like the faculty members are good and highly qualified. The are well-equipped with modern facilities like computer labs and all. I will prefer NIMS BBSR for BCA course. In Ranchi University, the BCA placements packages are also quite lower as compared to Naxatra Institute of Media Studies .

Assessing whether Ranchi University compares favorably with Naxatra Institute of Media Studies (NIMS BBSR) entails examining their strengths and weaknesses, as both institutions offer distinct attributes.Ranchi University, established in 1960, is a prominent public university in eastern India. It offers a wide array of undergraduate and postgraduate courses, including programs in journalism and mass communication. In contrast, NIMS BBSR, a private institute founded in 2007, specializes exclusively in journalism and mass communication. It provides undergraduate and postgraduate programs in this specific field and has garnered a positive reputation within this niche. Here's a comparison of the two institutions:Type of institution: Ranchi University is a public university, whereas NIMS BBSR operates as a private institute.Reputation: Ranchi University, with its long history, has established recognition. NIMS BBSR, though relatively new, is well-regarded, particularly in journalism and mass communication.Courses offered: Ranchi University offers a diverse range of programs at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. On the other hand, NIMS BBSR focuses solely on programs related to journalism and mass communication.Faculty: Both institutions feature experienced and qualified faculty members.Infrastructure: Both Ranchi University and NIMS BBSR provide provides more or less same facilities and resources.Fees: Ranchi University typically offers more budget-friendly tuition fees compared to NIMS BBSR, which tends to be relatively more expensive. The choice between the two institutions ultimately depends on your specific preferences and requirements. If you value affordability and a wide range of course options, Ranchi University may be the better choice. Conversely, if you seek specialisation in journalism and mass communication, along with a strong reputation in that field, NIMS BBSR is a suitable option.
