Diploma in Computer Engineering - Batch of 2024
Offered by Institute of Printing Technology and Government Polytechnic College
3.2
1Placements3Infrastructure4Faculty4Crowd & Campus Life4Value for Money
Disappoint with Placements, Impressed with Faculty, Average Infrastructure.
Placements: The percentage of placement in the computer engineering department of 21-24 batch students is absolute 0. Not even a single student got placement in the computer department. The placement cell is not even providing the notification on time. If any recruiting mail is received to the placement cell, the students will get the information at the last date or after. Previous batch placements were below average but still better than 21-24 batch. (This information is only based on my experience of 21-24 batch, I'm not sure about the current status). .
Infrastructure: Computer Lab - Lab Facility Is Fine, There's 3 Computer Lab That Have Many Systems With Ubuntu OS, And Internet Speed Were Good Emergency power backup is average. Inverter sometimes does not last long. *And now there's a dedicated building in progress for the computer department (it's still in progress, so I don't have any other information). ? Internet - For Internet connection, there's no Wi-Fi facility for students on campus, but have Ethernet ports in every class in the computer department. ? Library - The library is pretty good; it has a lot of informative books. Collection, Log, Maintenance, Ambience, everything is pretty good. Hostel - I was a day scholar, so I don't know much about hostel. Sports and Games - The support for sports and games was below average there's a pretty good ground that is the only positive thing in sports and games Canteen - Low spacious it's hardly enough to sit 20 students at a time (This information is only based on my experience of 21-24 batch, I'm not sure about the current status). .
Faculty: Teachers - The teachers were qualified, knowledgeable, and helpful. Teaching quality varies according to teachers. Curriculum - The curriculum is much better than some other computer degree courses, the curriculum does make students industry ready but the only problem is this course doesn't have a value that a degree Certificate have, but I'm sure that this is better. Exam - Semester exams are pretty hard. The pass percentage is about 50 - 65 (I'm not sure still it won't exceed 70) (This information is only based on my experience of 21-24 batch, I'm not sure about the current status). .
Other: Extracurricular Activities - NSS, IEDC, NCC, SHE etc. These organisations are good active and well organized. Events, Fest, connectivity programs are mainly conducted by the NSS, IEDC AND NCC The worst thing about this course is the board/university. Sometimes I think they don't even know that they're responsible for managing the course. Almost everything is late: conducting exams, result publishing, evaluation, etc. (For example, the B. Teach lateral entry for Diploma students in 2024 is in progress; almost every procedure was done and waiting for publishing the allotment, but still the Diploma final exam results were not published. ? , Diploma certificates are the major thing needed for B. Teach lateral entry, and they're doing this. Some students almost did the lateral entry procedures, and after the Diploma result they got failed. They're time and money wasted. If the university has done everything better, then this course is the best. (This information is only based on my experience with the 21-24 batch; I'm not sure about the current status. ). .
